Female Vets Running for Congress: Into Double Digits

220px-we_can_do_itHot off the press, a great article in Time Magazine’s Battleland Blog by retired Navy Capt. Darlene Iskra, PhD about Women Vets running for Congress.

Turns out that there are 10 of us. For those who like to analyze data here is the breakdown of who is running:

By service:
4 Army, 5 Air Force and 1 Navy.

By party affiliation:
5 Democrats, 4 Republicans and 1 Independent.

Interesting to note that all 5 Army Veterans and the Navy Veteran are running as Democrats and 4 of the 5 Air Force Veterans are running as Republicans.
